BCV Promotion

Council has formed a Promotional working group to formulate and implement plans for the promotion of the hobby and reverse the decline in membership. The overall aim of the working group is to encourage people to take up this hobby and join a club. There will be both short term and long-term goals to pursue in the promotion. It has nothing to do with show rules, classes, shows or any of the workings of council. The group’s only role is to encourage people to take up the hobby and join a club. It is then incumbent on the clubs to nurture and keep these new members!! The council and the working group will be depending greatly on member’s skills, experience and expertise. The group currently has Alan Baxter (President) as the Council representative and Vic Murray as Chairman and contact person. There are currently several other members, including Alan Rowe, Liam George, Steve Campbell, Gerry Pigot and Rae Nelson who have been making a terrific contributing. There is always room for more members who are willing to give of their time, and have some positive ideas. Evan if members do not wish to be on the committee we would welcome idea’s put forward for consideration. We will keep members up to date with reports in Budgie News and on this web page.
